EMAS Sees ExxonMobil Contract Extended in West Africa

Monday, July 15, 2013

EMAS AMC, the subsea division of EMAS, secured contracts worth more than $65 million, including options, for projects in the West Africa and the Gulf of Mexico.

The West African contract is out of Equatorial Guinea and extends an existing general service agreement with ExxonMobil for subsea engineering, subsea construction, and ROV support activities through mid-2014.

In the Gulf of Mexico EMAS AMC will send the Lewek Falcon for a long-term campaign on the Walker Ridge Gathering System (WRGS), which is an ultra-deep (2500 meters) setup to provide natural gas gathering services.

C.J. D’Cort, CEO of EMAS AMC, said: “Naturally, we are delighted with these recent projects awards as we strongly believe that our overall strategy of employing a modern and versatile fleet is paying off. This strategy provides clients with confidence in our ability to execute complex projects, with past and recent projects awards in remote areas and deep water. Our continuous investment in key assets, including our people, will reinforce our ability to efficiently and reliably support our growing global client base.”

Project management and engineering will begin immediately from EMAS AMC’s Houston office.
