Italian major ENI added to its production totals in Angola with the advent of production from the Kizomba Satellites Phase 2 project on Block 15 where it holds a 20% interest. The project is a subsea development of the Kakocha, Bavuca and Mondo South fields. Mondo South is the first field to begin production, and the other two satellite fields are expected to start it up in the coming months.
The project develops approximately 190 million barrels of oil with peak production currently estimated at 70,000 bpd of oil. The project is expected to increase Block 15’s total daily production to 350,000 bpd.
The Mondo South field is being developed with tiebacks to the Mondo FPSO, while the Kakocha and Bavuca fields are being developed with tiebacks to the Kizomba BFPSO.
