ENI Discusses Energy Mix with Algeria

Claudio Descalzi, CEO of ENI, met with the Prime Minister of Algeria, Abdelmalek Sellal, the Energy Minister, Salah Khebri and the CEO of Sonatrach Amine Mazouzi during a visit to Algiers. During the meeting, Descalzi illustrated to the Prime Minister the important developments of the company in Algeria.

The officials also discussed the energy mix issue and the ENI CEO expressed his company’s willingness to consider partnering with Algeria on the development of renewable energy projects.

ENI has been active in Algeria for over three decades and was the country’s first foreign producer, with a current daily production capacity of 100,000 boepd.
