ENI is making the rounds at financial institutions for funds to finance its development of discovered resources offshore Mozambique. Finding the funding and with acceptable terms is one of the last steps ENI must take before making a FID on the project.
A Reuters source said that the Italian firm would likely hear a decision from the banks in three to four weeks on the terms of loans they are willing to provide.
ENI has said previously that it hopes to be able to announce its FID prior to the end of the year.
