ENI Mobilizes Rig for Moroccan Adventure

ENI and Chariot Oil & Gas are moving forward with drilling offshore Morocco. According to a statement from Chariot, ENI, as operator, commenced the mobilization of a drillship for a drilling program offshore the North African country.

The Saipem 12000, a sixth generation ultra-deepwater drillship, is being mobilized to drill the RD-1 well on Rabat Deep Permits. The drillship is expected to arrive offshore Morocco in the next 10 days.

Besides ENI and Chariot, other partners on the Rabat Deep Permits are Woodside Energy and Morocco’s state-run energy firm ONHYM.
