ENI Sees Milestone in West Hub Development

Monday, July 21, 2014

ENI saw a milestone in its development of Angola’s Block 15/06 with the N’Goma FPSO ready to sail away. The sail away follows the naming ceremony held at Port Amboim.

Once on location at the West Hub Development it will then commence mooring and hook-up operations. First oil is scheduled to commence from the West Hub Development by the end of the year.

The project will mark ENI’s return as  deep water operator in Angola. The West Hub project is the first development that will come onstream among the blocks awarded in Angola’s 2006 licensing round. The West Hub Development Project includes the Sangos, Cinguvu, and Mpungi fields and involves the drilling of 21 subsea wells of which 12 producers, four alternate water and gas injectors and five water injectors. Water depth ranges between 1,000 and 1,500 meters. A second, similar, development project is also being executed (East Hub) to exploit the reserves discovered in the North Eastern area of the same block.
