In Mozambique, ENI has selected the Maritime Classification Society RegistroItalianoNavale (Rina Services) to act as a certification authority for the design and manufacture of underwater structures and equipment on the Coral South LNG project. The company will also provide technology validation services for the FLNG vessel.
“It is fundamental that the technologies used on the project are validated by a third party to ensure that they meet the specified performance criteria while being secure,” ENI said.
The value of the contract between Rina Services and ENI was not revealed.
