ENI signed an agreement with Egypt’s Petroleum Ministry regarding the pricing of the gas produced from the Farameet well, which was recently discovered in the company’s concession area in the Western Desert. The pricing was agreed to be $2.6 per one million thermal units.
A source at EGAS told Daily New Egypt that about 23Mmcf/d of gas will be produced from the Farameet well. The well will be connected to Shell’s Al-Obayed’s gas processing plant, once an agreement is signed between ENI and Shell, and a pipeline constructed to take the gas from wellsite to the plant.
