During a meeting between ENI chief executive Paolo Scaroni and the Republic of Congo’s (ROC) president Denis Sassou Nguesso, it was revealed that ENI had won a new exploration block in the country.
ENI was awarded a block in the Cuvette Basin that covers over 16,000 sq km. The Italian firm will explore it jointly with ROC’s state-run oil and gas firm SNPC. ENI was also named the operator of the block.
