Nigeria’s state-run oil and gas firm, NNPC, reported that there was an explosion on a ruptured gas pipeline on January 11. The company reported in a statement that the Escravos-Lagos Pipeline was hit by an explosion along Egbokodo-Omadino in the Warri region of Delta state, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation said.
Repairs are to start immediately, it said.
The Escravos-Lagos Pipeline supplies gas to power plants and the West Africa Gas Pipeline System.
