An exclusive 2D multi-client extension program (Phase II 2014 2D) is set to be launched offshore Guinea Bissau. The West African country’s state-run firm, Empresa Nacional de Pesquisa e Exploracao Petrolifera (Petroguin) has reached an agreement with GeoPartners Ltd. in partnership with MGGS bv for the exclusive survey offshore the country.
The new survey will both complement and extend the existing seismic coverage over the open acreage, which is significantly underexplored, and which has the potential to hold large oil and gas discoveries.
Companies participating in the new multi-client project will be granted first right of refusal to negotiate for exploration and production rights in the open blocks.
