Fairmount Summit Delivers Ocean Valiant from Cameroon

Fairmount Marine’s tug Fairmount Summit has delivered the Ocean Valiant rig safely in the port of Las Palmas, Canary Islands from offshore Cameroon. Fairmount Summit towed the rig a distance of almost 3,000 miles.

The Ocean Valiant is a semi-submersible drilling rig owned by Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc.

After connecting to the tow bridle and before departure Fairmount Summit performed heading control to the rig while the rig was retrieving her remaining four anchors.
