Flows Resume to Es Sider

Thursday, April 26, 2018

Crude flows from Libya’s Waha oil fields to the export terminal at Es Sider have resumed. Flows were disrupted on April 21 after an attack on the pipeline that feeds the terminal.

The attack on the pipeline effectively shut in 80,000 bpd.

The Waha Oil Co. completed the repairs to the pipeline within 24 hours, according to a statement released by the company on April 24.

The explosion and fire occurred on the pipeline from Al-Zidah to Es Sider. Waha Oil, a JV between state-run NOC and ConocoPhillips, Hess and Total, said it had immediately transferred production to another pipeline.
