Former XOM Employees Blockade Qua Iboe

Former employees of ExxonMobil in Nigeria have blockaded access to the Qua Iboe oil terminal and are threatening production.

The Qua Iboe terminal exports over 300,000 bpd so the blockade could impact the company’s ability to safely continue production operations.

The former workers, ex-security personnel, along with 508 workers that were dismissed in July, have been blockading the company’s offices and facilities since July 13.
