Equatorial Guinea’s Fortuna FLNG project should see its FID taken in H1 2017, according to the operator Ophir Energy.
Ophir said in its mid-January trading update that it, along with its partner OneLNG, were making “good progress against all key milestones.” OneLNG is a partnership between Golar LNG and Schlumberger.
The total capital expenditure for the project is about $2billion to reach first gas, which is expected in H1 2020.
