Four Companies Give Up Blocks in Sierra Leone

Sierra Leone took a bit of a hit recently when four oil companies relinquished their rights to their exploration blocks offshore the country.

According to the Sierra Leone Petroleum Director, three of the four companies that relinquished their rights were Anadarko Petroleum, LukOil, and Talisman as well as one other firm.

The blocks were released due to what they believe to be the non commercial viability of the blocks.
