Africa Oil Week organized by Global Pacific and Partners in Cape Town played host to the launch of Gabon’s 2016 offshore bid round.
Announcing the round at the industry event the country’s Petroleum and Hydrocarbons Minister Etienne Dieudonne Ngoubou said his country was offering up five deepwater blocks as part of the government’s bid to boost exploration.
Ngoubou said they expected to finalize the bidding by mid-2016.
