Gambia to Market Offshore Blocks

Sunday, November 19, 2017

Gambia has announced plans to market two offshore oil blocks that it revoked from African Petroleum. The blocks in question are A1 and A4, bordering oil prone Senegalese license areas.
The pair have been in a row over the blocks for months now, with Africa Petroleum initiating arbitration proceedings in September.
the country’s minister of justice said on Friday.
Gambia’s minister of justice and attorney general Abubacarr Tambadou said “We respect African Petroleum’s choice to initiate arbitrating proceedings… We will exercise our rights to market our blocks, including A1 and A4,” at an event in London, according to a Reuters report.
