Gambia to See 3D Seismic Launch

Erin Energy will see a 3D seismic survey launched offshore The Gambia. The company received the necessary permits from the government to acquire the approximately 1,500 sq km of 3D seismic over blocks A2 and A5.

The company said it expects the seismic acquisition to commence this month.

Erin Energy’s A2 acreage is on trend with recent discoveries made offshore Senegal by Cairn Energy and its partners, the FAR-1 and SNE-1 wells.

Currently the company is in discussions with potential farm-in partners on the blocks.
