Sound Energy’s third well on Morocco’s Tendrara license, the TE-8, has been successfully drilled to the planned coring point in the TAGI reservoir at a measured depth of 2,696 meters. The company is now completing coring operations.
According to Sound the presence of a TAGI sand sequence, commencing at a measured depth of 2,643 meters, and the presence of gas shows in the TAGI sands were confirmed.
The company cautioned that logging will only occur after the completion of drilling operations and that gas shows, although a positive initial indication, should not be considered conclusive without further wireline logging and analysis.
The company will now proceed to drill the rest of the TAGI sequence and the Paleozoic.
