Tullow Oil and the partners on the Jubilee Field offshore Ghana saw the resumption of gas exports. The exports began ahead of schedule, following the completion of work on the gas compressor on the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah.
Gas exports restarted on August 3, more than a week before Tullow’s mid-August deadline, and these have steadily increased to around 100 mmcf/d, according to the company.
The resumption of gas exports has allowed for the partners to increase oil production from the Jubilee Field to its previous rates.
Tullow CEO Aiden Heavey said that with the Jubilee compressor issue resolved and production back to normal at Jubilee the company expects to meet its full year production guidance.
