Gas Supplies Cut from Jubilee, Atuabo Plant Shut In

Wednesday, July 8, 2015

Ghana’s state-run gas company, aptly named Ghana Gas Company, shut in its Atuabo gas processing plant. The plant’s shut in was attributed to an unexpected disruption of gas supplies from the Jubilee field.

Atuabo plant director, George Yankey, told Reuters that Tullow Oil had informed the plant of the disruption on its FPSO. Gas supplies were cut on July 3 and there is no indication as to when they will resume.

“Our plant and other systems are in good health but we’ve had to shut down due to an unplanned disruption in supplies from the FPSO (floating, production, storage and offloading vessel),” Yankey was cited as saying.
