GDF Awards Touat Contract

GDF Suez and Sonatrach have awarded an engineering contract to Spanish company Tecnicas Reunidas for the development of the Touat field in southwestern Algeria, scheduled for 2016.

The much-delayed field, when it comes online, is expected to produce at a rate of 4.5 Bcm annually. GDF Suez did not reveal the value of the contract.
