Genel Progresses Seismic in Morocco and Somaliland

Genel Energy updated its operations in Africa in a recent release, specifically in Somaliland and Morocco. Onshore Somaliland, the company said seismic processing is now nearing completion, and preliminary analysis and interpretation is underway. A prospect inventory will then be developed, with the potential to spud a well around the end of 2019

Offshore Morocco on the Sidi Moussa block, Genel has acquired over 2,000 sq km of 3D seismic in its ongoing survey. According to the company, the 3D survey is around 60% completed. Acquisition is set to complete in November, with data processing to follow in 2019
