The results for Ghana’s latest presidential election are in, with opposition leader Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Pariotic Party (NPP) winning the popular vote against President John Mahama.
Akufo-Addo garnered 53.8% of the vote compared to Mahama’s 44.4%, according to the country’s electoral commission. Five other candidates ran in the elections, garnering less than 6% of the vote combined.
