Ghana Invites Clontarf to the Negotiating Table

Friday, June 24, 2016

The Ghanaian Ministry of Petroleum has notified Clontarf Energy and its partners Petrel Resources and local Ghanaian interests that the Ministry is available for negotiations on Clontarf’s proposals for amended coordinates of the Tano Basin Block. Clontarf had originally applied for the block in 2008.

The Ministry has reviewed Clontarf’s entire proposal and accordingly advised the company that the Block named Lukoil B is available for negotiations.

Clontarf will confirm its interest and follow up on this prospective acreage.

This new acreage is an offshore block in deeper water than the Tano 2A block which has been the subject of ongoing discussions for many years between Clontarf and the government.
