GPC to Drill 18 Wells in Egypt

Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum-affiliated, General Petroleum Company (GPC), plans to drill five exploration wells and 13 development wells in the 2018/2019 fiscal year, according to a statement from the Ministry. The news was revealed by Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, at the company’s general assembly.

During the meeting, GPC Chairman, Mohsen ElNoby, said that the company in the fiscal year 2017/18 discovered two fields in the eastern desert, which are now under development. GPC is currently producing some 64,000 barrels of crude, natural gas and condensates per day.
