Event brings together E&P and information technology companies to explore digital innovation

HOUSTON – July 25, 2018 – Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL) today announced its Landmark Innovation Forum and Expo (LIFE), the oil and gas industry’s premier business and technology event, will kick-off on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Participants in the event, which takes place August 21-23 at the Marriott Marquis in Houston, will learn how companies are repositioning and responding to the current exploration and production environment through collaboration of people, insights and technology to help reduce costs and increase production. LIFE is the only event that covers community, science, technology and digital innovation across the oil and gas industry.

With global rig counts rising, M&A activity increasing and recent oil price gains indicating a rebalancing, market operators are repositioning for growth and evaluating digital strategies to drive sustainable business value. LIFE assembles a diverse group of business and technical experts to provide tangible insights on cloud and big data analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, mobility, automation and more.

Innovators in oil and gas, digital business and IT will deliver keynote presentations. Additionally, Landmark customers will present a technical program covering how they are creating value and driving growth across their exploration and production businesses. Special sessions, including distinguished lectures, hands-on workshops, cloud training, a hackathon and poster discussions, will be delivered by the extended iEnergy® academic, developer, partner and user community. LIFE participants will also learn more about Well Construction 4.0 and Voice of the Oilfield™ and how these approaches can help drive lower cost per BOE

Event topics cover the entire E&P lifecycle and include the many ways companies can reposition and address opportunities by:

  • Responding through data – tapping into the resources of a smart and connected E&P ecosystem to discover new opportunities with customers
  • Responding with digital – creating new value from the application of cloud, mobility, IoT, automation and real-time technologies
  • Responding with evolving science – engaging digital solutions across domains including exploration, reservoir, drilling and production to leverage the latest science
  • Responding with community – open architecture software development accelerates innovation and increases collaboration across the lifecycle

“At a time when companies across the sector are working to reposition and respond to evolving business conditions, new ideas and solutions are of paramount importance,” said Nagaraj Srinivasan, senior vice president of Landmark and Halliburton Digital Solutions. “LIFE is a unique opportunity that explores how emerging digital technologies can help drive increases in reservoir efficiency and production while reducing costs.”
