BP, Statoil, and Sonatrach will finally see full production from the In Amenas gas processing plant. Sonatrach, Algeria’s state-run oil and gas firm, revealed that the plant had started test production at its third train and will soon be back running at full capacity.
The plant has not run at full capacity since a militant attack in 2013 caused damage to the processing trains.
Sonatrach said that the second train is in scheduled maintenance, but In Amenas should be back to its full 9 Bcm annual production capacity by late June.
