ISIS has taken control of a power plant on the outskirts of the Libyan city of Sirte. The power plant is vital to the central and western parts of Libya for electricity.
“The plant … was taken,” the Islamist terrorists said in a message on social media. According to the ISIS statement, not only have they taken the power plant but have driven their enemies out of the entire city, and by enemies they mean anyone who does fall in line with their philosophy.
The plant was under the control the unofficial government in Tripoli, however they pulled out of the plant after ISIS attacked on June 9.
