Italian Workers Kidnapped in Libya

The Italian Foreign Ministry revealed that four Italian construction workers were kidnapped near ENI’s Mellitah Oil and Gas compound.  The four men, employees of Bonatti, were taken on July 19, according to the reports out of the North African country.

The Italian Foreign Ministry said its Crisis Unit was monitoring the case and remains in constant contact with the families of the four Italian nationals and Bonatti.

In its statement, the Ministry reiterated its call for Italians to leave Libya, previously made in mid-February.
