Italy Seizes Smuggled Libyan Diesel

Smuggled diesel from Libya was seized by Italian authorities. Italy seized a smuggling vessel sailing from Libya bearing 100 tons of diesel, according to a Reuters report. The seizure occurred on November 4.

This is not the first time that Italian authorities have come in contact with smugglers. In October Italy arrested six suspected smugglers, accusing them of running a fuel-smuggling operation that had sold over €30 million worth of diesel in the European country.
