Jubilee Flows to Ramp Up

Wednesday, June 8, 2016

Ghana is expected to see its oil flows from the Jubilee field return to normal this year. Production was brought down to lower levels earlier this year due to a techical problem with the turret bearing on the field’s FPSO.

Production is expected to ramp up to bring the field’s 2016 average to 110,000 bpd.

In addition to Jubilee flows returning, Ghana expects to see the Tullow Oil operated TEN development contribute to the country’s daily totals in August.

Commenting on other activities in the country’s petroleum sector, Thomas Mba Akabzaa, chief director at Ghana’s Ministry of Petroleum told attendees at an industry event that at the end of 2015, (several) new petroleum agreements were signed. “However, as I speak about 80% are yet to meet 20% of their work program requirements for 2015 largely as a result of the difficulty in raising the required funding.”
