The JV agreement between Jed Air and Voyageur Airways to strengthen operations by providing air lifting services in the oil and gas sector was launched with a Bombardier Dash 8 -300 series, 50-seater aircraft for oil and gas services arriving in Nigeria. The turbo prop aircraft was received at a private terminal at the Lagos Airport with top officials of the Jed Air were on hand to document the delivery.
Both companies announced that three other aircraft would be delivered early next year and increased activities in oil services is hoped to up demand for more airplanes.
The arrival of the aircraft by the joint venture partner to Jed Air is part of efforts to boost local content in the oil and gas sector. The equipment was flown into the country from Canada, the operational headquarters of Voyageur Airways.
