KEC and Partners Test Al Jahraa SE-1X

Kuwait Energy Co. (KEC), Dover Petroleum, and Beach Energy are in the process of testing their Al Jahraa SE-1X well on the Abu Sennan Concession in Egypt. The well reached total depth of 3,361 meters in the Bahariya Formation and will be cased and completed.

During drilling the well intersected approximately 16.4 meters of net pay in the targeted Abu Roash ‘C’ formation, secondary Abu Roash ‘E’ formation, and secondary Upper Bahariya formation.

The well is located approximately 6 km southeast of the Al Jahraa-1 discovery well.

Abu Sennan Concession partners are: Beach 22%, KEC 50% and operator, Dover 28%.
