Kosmos Expands STP Position

Kosmos Energy has added to its assets in West Africa with the addition of a stake in Sao Tome and Principe’s (STP) exclusive economic zone (EEZ). Kosmos acquired a majority stake in the EEZ’s Block 12.

The US independent acquired a 65% stake in Block 12, giving it stakes in four of STP’s offshore blocks.

Kosmos will be partnered with Equator Exploration and STP’s National Petroleum Agency.
