Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) revealed in a Business Daily report that construction on a new petroleum products pipeline will begin by April of next year.
The overall project is about 68% complete, while construction of the actual pipeline is 90% complete. KPC’s focus is now on construction and installation of equipment at the new pump stations.
The 450-km, 20-inch diameter Mombasa-Nairobi pipeline is part of the government’s Vision 2030 and is a flagship project to replace the aging Mombasa-Nairobi pipeline.
