Gaz du Cameroon (GDC), the Cameroonian subsidiary of Victoria Oil & Gas (VOG), saw target depth reached successfully in the drilling of the La-108 well. The well’s target was 2,865 meters measured depth.
During drilling the well encountered net gas sands of 84.5 meters in the Upper and Lower Logbaba formations. The net gas sand encountered exceeded pre-drill expectations according to VOG, and was significantly more than the La-107 well’s net sands.
GDC will now run a liner and the well will be cement cased to a depth of 2,859 meters. The production completion will then be installed after which the rig will be released from the well. Flow tests are planned and La-108 is expected to be a producing well by end November.
