Discover the Latest Developments in Polymers, Elastomers and Composites for Oilfield Engineering Applications at AMI’s Oil & Gas Non-Metallics 2017 Conference
The conference will take place in London from 7-8 November 2017
AMI, BRISTOL 29 June 2017 –AMI has announced the programme for its international Oil & Gas Non-Metallics 2017 conference, which will take place on 7-8 November at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel, London. The event will focus on the selection, qualification and use of plastics, composites and elastomers in demanding oil and gas engineering applications.
The two-day conference programme will open with a panel discussion on trends in oil and gas applications, featuring materials and polymer specialists from Statoil, Total and NOV (National Oilwell Varco).
This discussion will help to set the scene for 18 technical presentations from industry experts on the latest developments in materials, testing and applications in this dynamic market.
The first two sessions of technical papers will focus on high-performance materials for the most demanding pipe, drilling, subsea and high-pressure vessel applications. Speakers will cover advances in the use of composites, nanocomposites and high-end engineering plastics.
The final session of the first day of Oil & Gas Non-Metallics 2017 will feature three experts addressing the critically important topic of predicting and extending the lifetime of polymeric and elastomeric components in oilfield applications.
The second day of the conference will open with a look at advances in testing and qualification procedures. This will be followed with two application-focused sessions. The first of these will cover innovations in pipes and hoses, including presentations on both thermoplastics and composites. The final session will address the vitally important area of sealing technologies with talks on rubbers, fluoroelastomers and thermoplastics.
In addition to the informative conference programme, Oil & Gas Non-Metallics 2017 will also feature a focused table-top exhibition and ample opportunities for networking during the coffee breaks, lunches and evening cocktail reception. It will attract a large international and influential audience making it an ideal meeting place for anyone wanting to make new contacts and discover the latest technical and business trends in this market.
