Lexo Energy to Enter Kenyan Market

Dutch oil company Lexo Energy plans to enter the Kenyan retail fuel market. According to reports, the firm will open up to 25 new petrol stations before the end of the year. With the opening of the stations will mark the second African nation Lexo have petrol stations in; the other country is Mauritius.

Lexo Energy Director Nairobi, Koki Mulwa told the Business Daily that the operation is expected to cost around 2.5 billion Shillings.

The arrival of Lexo Energy coincides with the departure of Shell from the local market. Shell sold its interest in retail stations in 16 African markets to Vivo Energy.
