Libya Hits 885,000 BPD with Wintershall Flows

Tuesday, June 20, 2017

With the addition of Wintershall production to Libya’s crude flows, the country has been able to achieve 885,000 bpd. The Wintershall restart added 50,000 bpd to Libya’s totals.

Last week Wintershall and Libyan state-run oil and gas firm, NOC, reached an interim deal on an upstream contract dispute that had stopped production of some 160,000 bpd from Wintershall’s NC 96 and NC 97.

It also led to a shutdown at oilfields including ENI’s Abu Attifel, which shares processing facilities with Wintershall. Now that Wintershall facilities are up and running the Abu Attifel began flowing again on June 14. It could also lead to other producers restarting flows.
