Libya Launches ‘Think Tomorrow’ Sustainable Energy Initiative

The chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), Farhat Bengdara, unveiled the ‘Think Tomorrow”’ initiative, on behalf of the company, during COP28 in Dubai.

The aim of the initiative is achieving a green and sustainable future for Libya, by adopting environmentally friendly practices such as eradicating gas flaring and waste oil lakes.

The initiative also focuses on generating renewable energy to supply the oil fields with clean energy, and a project aiming to increase green spaces in the oil territories by planting one million trees.
