Libya’s Ministry of Economy announced on October 16 that it would be reducing subsidies on kerosene (paraffin) for commercial and industrial use. The Ministry has set the new price at LD 0.85, the state’s share of cost to produce the kerosene.
The Ministry also said that it is looking to realign the price of other fuels, including petrol, once it starts to implement the planned cash subsidy-substitution policy
