The 120,000 bpd Zawiya refinery in Libya has been shut in after storage was damaged in fighting between armed groups. The El Sharara field feeding the refinery also remains closed, said Ibrahim al-Awami, head of the inspection and measurement department at the oil ministry in a Reuters report.
The shut in of the El Sharara brings Libya’s production down to about 670,000 bpd according to NOC.
It is not know when the refinery or the El Sharara field will be up and functioning again.
