Libya’s PFG Roust Daesh for Ben Jawad

Libya’s Petroleum Facilities Guards (PFG) has reportedly retaken the town of Ben Jawad from Daesh. The PFG is the force that controls oil terminals in eastern Libya.

According to reports, Daesh fighters were pushed out of the town, east of the militants’ stronghold in Sirte. The was also reports of fighting in the nearby town of Nawfiliyah.

While the PFG has rousted Ben Jawad, a force loyal to the unity government began its battle to retake Sirte from Daesh on May 27.
