Soco International updated operations at its Marine XI Block offshore the Republic of Congo where it operates with a 40.39% working interest. The company saw its Production License Application (PEX) for the Lidongo well discovery area approved by the relevant authorities in late-September.
The license period is for 20 years beginning on October 6. Work for applications for potential PEX’s on the remaining discoveries on the block is in progress.
Commercialization options of the Lidongo PEX area are being discussed with the government and neighboring license holders.
