SDX Energy spud a new well in Morocco on the Lalla Mimouna permit where it holds a 75% working interest. The well, the LMS-1, is the ninth and final well in the company’s drilling campaign in Morocco.
The well is anticipated to take 15 to 20 days to drill and if successful, it will be completed, flow tested and connected to existing infrastructure.
The LMS-1 spud follows the announcement that SDX’s LNB-1 exploration well, also on the Lalla Mimouna permit, discovered natural gas while drilling. It also follows the heavy oil discovery made by the company in Egypt on the West Gharib Concession.
