Malian and Tuareg See First Clashes Since Ceasefire

Although Mali has been plagued with instability for awhile, the military faced its first clashes with Tuareg rebels since the ceasefire initiated in June. Three soldiers were wounded and the clash threatens to endanger the pact.

The situation occurred in Lere, a week after president Ibrahim Boubacar Keita was sworn into office.
