Maridive Eyes Egyptian Acreage

Egypt’s offshore oil service firm, Maridive & Oil Services SAE, plans to branch out into exploration. The company said that it would begin to explore for natural gas in Egyptian waters. It was not revealed exactly where offshore Egypt the country planned to explore.

The company also revealed that it is conducting a review of its offshore units built prior to 2000, in order to rid itself of the economically nonviable untis and thus rationalize its costs.
