More Seismic Planned for Mauritania

Kosmos Energy began 3D seismic surveys over Blocks C8 and C13 offshore Mauritania during the previous quarter.

In October the company added to its acreage in the country with the acquisition of Block C6 with a 90% interest and operatorship. The company said that the block offers an extension of the play and prospects identified on its Block C12.

Additional seismic is planned for Mauritanian Blocks C12 and C6 before the end of the year, according to the company’s Q3 report.
